40 m² per design: what the minimum order means in pieces
Our minimum order for single-sided PCBs is 40 m² of board per design. Buyers often read this as 40 pieces, or are not sure how many boards it adds up to. This guide shows how to convert 40 m² into pieces for your board size, with worked figures for common LED, DOB, driver and charger boards.

What “40 m² per design” means.
- It is an area, not a count. 40 m² is about 430 sq ft of finished board.
- It applies to each design. A design is one part number: one Gerber, one outline, one build. Two different boards are two designs, and each starts at 40 m².
- Smaller boards mean more pieces. 40 m² is about 16,000 pcs of a 50 × 50 mm board, but 4,000 pcs of a 100 × 100 mm board.
We are a B2B production supplier to manufacturers. Every design goes through a CAM check, PDF approval of the panel, set-up on a blanking die or CNC router, bare board testing and independent QC. The minimum keeps each run a production run.
How to convert 40 m² into pieces.
- Take the board size in millimetres: length × width. For a round board, use the diameter × diameter (this is how our 40 m² calculator counts round boards).
- Divide 40,000,000 (the number of mm² in 40 m²) by that area.
- The result is roughly the number of pieces in 40 m².
Example: a 50 × 50 mm board is 2,500 mm². 40,000,000 ÷ 2,500 = 16,000 pcs.

New buyers start at 40 m² per design. We do not take prototype or small-quantity orders from new buyers.
For our regular customers only, designs below 40 m² can be run with a ₹2,500 development charge.
Repeat designs: plan by the month.
For a design you reorder, plan the quantity by the month. Our capacity is 10,000 m² of single-sided board a month. When you ask for a quote, tell us:
- the quantity per design for the first order (m², or pieces plus the board size)
- your expected monthly quantity per design
- the dispatch city, for transport and GST (CGST + SGST within Haryana, IGST to other states, HSN 8534 00 00) PCB HSN code

Is the 40 m² minimum per order or per design?
Per design. Each part number needs at least 40 m² of board. Two different designs are two separate 40 m² minimums.
How many pieces is 40 m²?
Divide 40,000,000 by your board area in mm². For a 50 × 50 mm board that is about 16,000 pcs; for 100 × 100 mm about 4,000 pcs. For a round board, use diameter × diameter.
Do you make prototypes or small quantities?
Not for new buyers. We are a B2B production supplier. For our regular customers only, designs below 40 m² can be run with a ₹2,500 development charge.
How much single-sided board can you make in a month?
Our capacity is 10,000 m² of single-sided board a month. Tell us your monthly quantity per design when you ask for a quote.
Which boards do you make?
Single-sided boards only, in FR1, CEM1, CEM3, FR4 and aluminium MCPCB, 0.8 to 1.6 mm thick, with 35 or 70 µm copper. Single-sided PCB guide
