Why aluminium, and how to design for it.
Heat out of the LED
Heat passes through a thin dielectric into the aluminium base and spreads out. LEDs run cooler, keep their brightness and last longer than on paper or glass-epoxy boards.
Large thermal pads
Use the LED maker's recommended footprint and keep copper continuous under and around each LED to spread heat.
White mask for output
White solder mask reflects light back out of the fitting. Green and black are available if your design calls for them.
Mains spacing
DOB and driver-on-board designs carry mains voltage next to the LEDs. Keep creepage to your product standard. Spacing guide

Do you make single-sided MCPCB only?
Yes. We make single-sided boards only, with one copper layer on the aluminium base. That focus keeps our tooling, costing and turnaround built around this product.
Which solder mask colour is best for LED boards?
White for most LED boards, because it reflects light. Green and black are available.
Do you have a die for my bulb or panel size?
Very likely for common round sizes. Search the Ready Dies page by size, or send your outline and we will check it against our library before quoting.
Do you assemble LEDs?
No. We supply bare MCPCBs, tested and ready for your SMT line.
What is the minimum order?
40 m² of board per design (part number), not 40 pieces. That is about 430 sq ft, or about 16,000 pcs of a 50 × 50 mm board. We supply production volumes to manufacturers. For regular customers only, designs below 40 m² can be run with a ₹2,500 development charge.
